High School Musical was, and still is, one of the most popular and successful movie franchises in the early 2000s. It follows the life of Troy Bolton, a young basketball star, as he falls for the new girl at school, Gabriella Montez. When they both decide to audition for the school musical, Sharpay Evans, the drama club star, becomes jealous. Troy and Gabriella must now learn to juggle their new responsibilities of the drama club, basketball, and the academic decathlon, even in the midst of sabotage from Sharpay and minimal support from their friends.
