5 Fun days out in Wales

Wales is my favourite country! Wales offers so many beautiful and best things to do that make it such a lovely country to explore.

Although it is a relatively small country, it packs quite the punch in terms of beautiful sites to see, delicious food, and stunning coastlines. I wanted to share with you some of the very best things to do in Wales during your next visit. I’m hoping to introduce you to some beautiful areas of Wales to visit, whether they are in cities or national parks.

It offers so much that it can often go amiss, which is a shame. So, here are my top 5 fun days out in Wales!

Snowdonia National Park

Snowdonia National Park

Snowdonia National Park is the oldest park in Wales and a stunning place to explore. Snowdonia National Park has almost 1000 square miles of unspoiled beauty and is the tallest mountain in England and Wales.

Those who don’t want to climb the mountain can take the mountain railway instead. The views from the top of Mount Snowdon are certainly something you’ll want to see.

I think it’s one of the best things to do in Wales when you’re exploring the north of the country. The park is also home to many birds of prey, including red kites. There are even breeding centres in the Dovey valley where you can observe the kites in the wild.

Spend some time at Cader Idris, zipline at one of the world’s fastest lines, or relax at Llyn Padarn. At sunset, the sky is beautiful. Or you can try out a great spot of mountain biking on the peaks. It is custom made for this pastime. Check out Planet Camping for a great range of bikes suitable for this.

Conwy Castle

Conwy Castle

You ought to make time to visit Conwy Castle on your next trip to Wales since it is nearly 1,000 years old. Conwy Castle is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a ton of things to see and do, especially if you enjoy beautiful Welsh castles.

Beaumaris Castle

Beaumaris Castle

There are a lot of incredible castles in Wales, but my favourite is Beaumaris Castle. Anglesey is a great place to wander and one of the best things to do in Wales if you’re heading to Anglesey.

Located in Wales, Beaumaris is another UNESCO World Heritage Site. It has an interesting and rich history that dates back hundreds of years. You will be amazed when you see the towers and northern gatehouse once you get here, so be sure to walk around the moat.

Tenby

Tenby

The village of Tenby is one of the most picturesque fishing towns in the world. If you’re looking to explore a charming little part of Wales, don’t miss a trip to the seaside town of Aberdovey. It’s one of my favourite seaside towns in Wales.

Wander the small streets around the beaches and enjoy the colourful houses and picturesque charm of Tenby once you’ve reached it. Be sure to take a look at the colourful cottages as well.

Cardigan Coastline

Exploring the beautiful countryside is what I love most about Wales. It is always possible to wander off the main roads and into smaller villages. The best thing to do in Wales, according to me, is to go sailing.

Tresaith, a small village, is one little spot. It is said that seven Irish sisters sailed across the Irish Sea to Wales and established a home for their family to escape their evil father. We don’t know whether this is true or not!

And there we have it, some amazing days out all in the beautiful country of Wales! There is something for everyone and I hope that someone else can fall in love with Wales as much as I have. I wonder where you will go on your next Welsh adventure…
