Oil and gas drones are utilized by the gas sector to spot oil spills, gas leaks, and monitor whale migration patterns, which are essential for assessing locations before starting offshore operations. And the usefulness of UAVs is becoming popular in this industry that drones are now predominantly used for mapping, surveying, pipeline and well inspections, even for security purposes.

5. Mining

Finally, UAVs are sent to inspect mining areas to improve the safety of workers and provide real-time information regarding the status of the mining operation.

Other than that, drones are also used to help grading control, manage stockpiles, exploration of the mining site and overall project management.
