It can be pretty hard to stay fashionable while working up a sweat in the gym. Why is it so hard to look cute in the gym while working out? Have you ever thought about all those advertisements on TV that show people that look like literal supermodels going to the gym? I wish that could be me, but when I am in the gym, I feel like a sweaty walrus trying to figure out how to do a half squat on a yoga ball. Like seriously, and all the women look like Victoria’s Secret models.
Anyways, enough of that. Thankfully, there are some ways you can look fashionable while burning calories and they won’t cost you an arm and a leg.
Tight fitted clothing – YOGA pants!
If you plan on hitting the gym and don’t own a pair of yoga pants than kudos to you but just know that your man is looking at my nice round bum as a do squats. We know it, everyone knows it. Tight yoga pants and the gym go together like peanut butter and jelly. Yoga pants are great because they fit tightly against your skin, this ensures that there is no loose clothing to get stuck on any workout machines. Tight yoga pants also make you look very hot in the gym. If you have been working on toning your bum for a while, you just know that when you do squats in the gym that all eyes are on you. It really gives me a nice boost of confidence while I am in the gym and I personally love the attention it brings (most of the time). If you really want to spruce up your fashion sense you can look at some of the new yoga pant designs available. A lot of the new styles incorporate bright colours and designs that are sure to make you stand out in the gym.
The proper headband
Wearing a headband does not only serve a functional purpose, which is to absorb the sweat on your forehead to prevent sweat from getting into your eyes, but they can also look stylish. My go to gym accessory is always a pretty little headband. I always make sure to pack a couple in my bag incase I want to switch up the colours depending on my mood. I even get compliments on my various headbands. I had one girl on the elliptical next to me ask me if my head bands was from from rip curl surfing sportswear and I laughed so hard because I did not think she would recognize it. I told her that I was in fact from there and she could not believe me when I said that because she thought only she knew about the sportswear brand. I am proud to say that I made a new friend in the gym that day. It felt good to be recognized for wearing a nice headband. I can not only kick butt in the gym, but I can look great too! Headbands are a great gym accessory because they are generally inexpensive, they are small, and there are thousands of different kinds. Headbands are one of my favourite ways to bring my own style into any gym I walk into.
Shoes are a must when it comes to the gym. You need to get yourself a nice pair of running shoes that will stick up to your high level of intensity in the gym. When purchasing gym shoes it is important to not only consider the style and aesthetics of the shoe, but to also get a shoe that is comfortable, durable, and appropriate for your workouts. Open toed shoes, heels, and flats may look fashionable, but unfortunately they just won’t cut it in the gym; sorry ladies. Fortunately for you there are plenty of fashionable shoe styles available and I’m sure you will have no trouble finding the right shoe for you. Also be sure to check out a great seamless gym leggings range as well.
If you want to look like a total smoke show in the gym you need to get yourself the right gear for the job. Go ahead and spend a couple hundred dollars on some nice gym clothes. My rationale is that if you are busting your butt off in the gym to make your body look good, you should also be spending some money to make sure your workouts stay fashionable. Incorporating stylish shoes, headbands, and wearing nice tight yoga pants that show off your bum are all great ways to bring your sense of style into any gym you walk into. Also, I am pretty sure the guys will be drooling over any hot girl in yoga pants.
