In fact, Google analytics show that mobile searches containing the key words Black Friday increased by 80% over the past two years.

People are now armed with the devices that enable them to make more informed decisions in terms of purchasing for goods and services. Consumers now research on products round the clock and this is backed up by analytical reports. It is apparent from these reports that consumers show a high interest for the original product prices and deals typically before, during and after a shopping holiday such as the Black Friday sale.

It follows, though, that consumers who do their research are more empowered in making decisions that determine exactly when and how they want to proceed with a purchase. This can be a significant factor that may affect the people’s interest, whether positively or negatively, on a shopping holiday such as Black Friday. For instance, more people prefer to perform online transactions during the shopping holiday itself than to set foot on the actual physical store. Now, the other question that remains is whether the merchants and retailers will be able to keep up with the interest and demands of the consumers with the Black Friday sale.

In conclusion, the prices of the products and services purchased during a Black Friday sale are indeed lower and discounted compared to their original sale price. This is the reason why many consumers tend to wait until the Black Friday sale, hoping to purchase the items they prefer on very much lower prices. Merchants sometimes even have a hard time keeping up with this interest and demand. One thing is for sure though, the Black Friday sale is a trend that is here to stay for the next couple of years at least.
