There are so many places to visit in the American West. If you’re looking for a break, there are plenty of cool places to visit in Western states like Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, and Wyoming. There’s something for everyone here! From national parks to beaches, this article will show you some great destinations.

Los Angeles, California

Los Angeles is home to famous beaches like Malibu and Venice, Griffith Park, the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Griffith Observatory & Planetarium, Universal Studios, and Los Angeles Zoo & Botanical Garden.

There are loads of things to do in the home of Hollywood glitz and glamor. Are you a fan of the famous Sunset Strip? Are you excited to see famous people’s homes? Can’t wait to go shopping at The Grove or the world-famous Santa Monica Promenade? You can visit famous museums like LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art), the J. Paul Getty Museum, and the Annenberg Space for Photography. You can watch live theatre at the Hollywood Bowl, shop for trendy clothes on Melrose Avenue, or join the crowd at one of LA’s many nightclubs.

Bay Area, California

The Bay Area is home to lots of cool places. There are historic landmarks, beautiful beaches, and opportunities for outdoor activities. The area’s many parks include ocean bluffs, grassy meadows, redwood forests, and the Golden Gate National Recreation Area.

There are also plenty of museums and galleries here. You can visit Pier 39, the Exploratorium’s new museum at Pier 15, and Ripley’s Believe It or Not Odditorium. You can also shop for stylish clothes on Union Street in San Francisco or Valencia Street in the Mission District.

Las Vegas, Nevada

Las Vegas is known for its casinos, hotels, and entertainment. You can explore beautiful scenery like Red Rock Canyon at the Spring Mountains National Recreation Area. Las Vegas is also home to cool museums like The Neon Museum (known as “the museum of neon signs”) & The Mob Museum (dedicated to telling the story of organized crime).

Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming

Yellowstone National Park is famous for its wildlife and other natural features. You’ll be amazed by the park’s geysers, rivers, forests, hot springs, and mountain ranges. While you’re in the area, you should also visit Grand Teton National Park & Jackson Hole.

There are lots of things to do here. Go on a hike, check out the Old Faithful Geyser, or go sightseeing. You can also participate in organized events like bike races (held during the LOTOJA Classic), dog sledding, and helicopter tours.
