Summer is looking brighter and more Pal-filled for our Xbox pals, as Pocketpair drops the latest Palworld update on Xbox consoles. Featuring a new area called Sakurajima Island, players get to battle new bosses and meet new Pals from this latest Palworld zone.
Palworld was in hot water over whispers regarding Nintendo lawyers or how the game’s player number dipped after its release. Seems like those two things were unfounded, and now Palworld is stronger than ever with this major update. Before you jump into the game’s new island life, here’s what you need to know from the Palworld Sakurajima update on Xbox.
New Palworld Location: Sakurajima Island
Players have a whole new island to explore in this update! Called Sakurajima Island, this picturesque island is home to a few new Pals and a new faction called “The Moonflowers”.
It’s not some tiny place, as there’s a tower you can take control of and a huge area to explore. From sandy shores and cherry blossom trees to caves with glowing mushrooms, this new zone is a feast for the eyes!

So where is Sakurajima located in Palworld? You can find it at the top left portion of the map, in the middle of the snowy and volcanic zones.

New Palworld Tower Boss: Saya and Selyne
The beautiful and elegant Saya and her Pal Selyne are the newest Tower Boss in this update. Selyne’s type is Dark and Neutral.
Don’t let their looks catch you off-guard (we understand if you’re mesmerized). These two are quite tough and challenging, with expert players advising others to reach Level 55 first and have good Dragon type Pals before battling them.
New Level Cap at 55
The game also increased its level cap. From 50, you can now max your level to 55. As mentioned above, it’s better to level up first before challenging the new Tower Boss. Many new Pals are also around this level, so they can be pretty challenging if you’re under-leveled.
You Can Now Set Up a Palworld Xbox Server
This is arguably one of the biggest additions from the Palworld Sakurajima update for Xbox players. With this new feature, you can now set up a dedicated server for you and your friends on Xbox.
It will need some technical know-how to set up, including setting it up with a PC or getting a third-party service to host it. If you’re having trouble, the official Palworld Discord server is more than happy to aid you with this.
