Travel, my darling old friend, how incredible you truly are.

There’s no denying it, travelling is amazing, not only said to broaden the mind, but as well the body and soul – in which it does. Nothing beats the feeling of arriving at an unknown destination, with a whole world of beauty and new sites to discover and adventure around.

Diversified cultures, food, experiences…but with so many phenomenal destinations around the world, it can often become difficult in knowing which ones to visit.

As much as we love it, travelling in itself can become a stressful event – throw in all the new procedures and regulations and you’ve got a plethora of new check-off items to remember.

To ease some of your travel woes, planning an itinerary can become an important part of doing so, helping to alleviate some of the stress.

To narrow down your destination options, here are a few ideas of places to visit the next time you get to go travelling again, as well as a list of things to do in each city that you might enjoy.

Greece

Whether into your Greek mythology or you consider yourself a history-fiend, perhaps you’re just after some island sunshine with your feet dancing along the Mediterranean shores…the idyllic hilly coastlines that make up the Grecian islands is a sight to behold.

Famous for its blue and white colour palette, this is a country rich in culture and history and it shows.

For those with a passion for architecture, you’ve come to the right place with unending sites to see dating back to biblical times, including the Palace of Malia and Mount Athos.

Talking different A’s, take a tour of the Acropolis Museum and revel in some of Greece’s most ancient artefacts and works of art – artists and archaeologists alike, you won’t be disappointed.

Adventure seekers, why not climb Mount Olympus and discover the place where Zeus took his place on the thrown. Ocean-child at heart? Your tour of Greece wouldn’t be complete without a boat cruise. Bali, Indonesia

Bali holds a special place in many people’s hearts, and for good reason. If you’re looking for an insanely stunning island holiday destination, sporting some of the most beautiful, trendy and affordable accommodation spots around South East Asia, and a city filled with hip things to do, delicious places to eat and a creative hub, Bali is the place to be.

But it’s not the city that draws in the crowds, but rather the natural attractions around. What many don’t realise either is that Bali is MASSIVE and is not purely made up of long stretches of white sands and blue shores. A bucket-list favourite among many travellers, apart from its world-famous market there are so many hidden treasures to be discovered in this bustling city!

Imagine waking up at sunset and enjoying a hot air balloon ride at dawn across the glowy, sleepy Moroccan countryside?

If you’re not much of an early-riser, spend your days meandering through the tiny alleyways, fuel your photography passions over at the Maison De La Photographie, or even enjoy a cooking class that’ll excite all your sensory delights.

The Maldives

Apart from the astonishingly blue waters, this tiny island (just a short flight away from Sri Lanka just as a future FYI), has got to be one of thee most relaxing holiday destinations, ever.

If you’re not a fan of the oceana, or spending hours in the sun, this may not be up your alley, but for those of you that do, the snorkelling is in abundance, the warm waters unending and WOW, this island is home to some of the most spectacular accommodation spots – cue Soneva!

Paris, France

Ah, Mon Chéri, the city of love, croissants and of course, the Eiffel Tower, Paris is undeniably one of the most romantic destinations in the world.

Art lovers, I’m sure you don’t need reminding that this city is home to the world’s oldest museum, The Louvre, as well as plenty cafes for you to dream about famous artist that once passed through.

History is everywhere in this city, whether it be visiting the Notre Dame Cathedral or paying a visit to the Palace of Versailles, and lest we forget about the (in)famous Moulin Rouge, it’s a city filled with life, colour and love and you can feel it in the air, no matter which cobbled street you find yourself skipping along.
