Recharge Your Skin with Ayurveda

A glowing skin usually resonates with a healthy mind. Everyone is urged to feed not only their stomachs but nourish their skin with good food. And no matter what is applied on the surface, it is absorbed by the body as well.

For some, taking care of their skin is the perfect way to pamper themselves, whether by taking a whole-body massage or nightly application routines.

Unknowingly, people are incorporating ayurvedic skin care products into their lifestyles. The process has influenced several practices up to this day, such as yoga and eastern medicine.

Ayurveda, which means “life knowledge” in Sanskrit, is all about nourishing your mind and body with nature. It is an ancient health practice that dates back to 5,000 years ago, which focuses on utilizing healthy and natural skin products. It is considered a revolutionary approach as it is regarded as having the highest standards when it comes to herbal and natural skincare products.

Here are some ways to integrate ayurvedic skin care products and practices into your daily routine:

  • Wake up early

Well, this one could be “wake up earlier than usual.” Aside from the sun giving the healthiest rays in the morning, 6 a.m. is the most youthful time for the heart.

According to experts, the body begins to regenerate at 10 p.m., and each person needs at least eight hours of sleep every day. Thus, 6 a.m. is the best time to wake up for anyone. The time also matches the body’s natural circadian rhythm, which allows the body to restore itself on a cellular level.

  • Detoxify daily

Detoxifying daily eliminates toxins in the body and hydrates your skin. Experts suggest starting your day with a glass of warm water with lemon juice to naturally release contaminants in the body.

  • Use almond powder

Almond powder is known as an efficient moisturizer because of its fatty acids, and an effective exfoliant as well. Therefore, try using it every morning instead of chemical-based exfoliants.

  • Use facial oil for an extra glow

Ayurveda is best known for utilizing oils for the face. It works for all skin types as it stabilizes your body’s sebum production. It is even recommended for acne-prone skin, which can also increase moisture on the face.

Some examples are sesame, jojoba, avocado, coconut, or sunflower. The best part is that it is not only applicable to the face but the rest of the body as well.

  • Give some time to massage yourself

Massages are the best way to end your day. It relieves sore muscles and even relaxes both the mind and body for a restful sleep.

Apply a generous amount of oil of your choice to your face and neck. Then, slowly massage in a circular motion. Try to do this at least 10 minutes a day. It would improve immunity, give you better chances of a good night’s sleep, and boost your blood circulation.

Recharging your skin takes time and constant dedication to keep your skin clean and glowing. Enough rest and practicing ayurvedic skincare routines help maintain your skin’s natural elasticity and keep your skin radiant and beautiful.
