Things You Can Do to Prevent Premature Ejaculation

Ejaculating prematurely is an issue that many men all over the world have faced at some point in their lives. Generally, PE occurs due to inexperience; however, sometimes, it can be very frustrating for a person and their partner when they are trying to enjoy any kind of sexual activity. There are some ways to prevent this issue from occurring, and some ways to train your body to delay ejaculation for as long as you and your partner want.

1. Anesthetic Creams

One of the most common ways to delay ejaculation is to rub a topical anesthetic cream that slightly numbs the head of the penis. This makes the person able to hold off from ejaculating prematurely because the sensations are not as intense. If you decide to use a cream, make sure only to apply it to the head and not over-do it. If you use too much of the cream, you will make it challenging to maintain your arousal because you literally won’t be feeling anything.

2. Prescribed and Over-the-Counter Pills

Prescription pills can only be prescribed by a doctor and dispensed at a pharmacy. Something that you need to know about prescribed medicines, however, is that they might be FDA approved, but they were not tested to treat premature ejaculation. These untimely ejaculation pills are mainly used to treat depression and other illnesses but also have physiological effects that delay ejaculation.

Although prescription premature ejaculation pills are usually meant to treat other symptoms and diseases, doctors are entitled to prescribe any FDA approved medication that they believe can help their patients with the issue they are facing. Of course, there are also over-the-counter pills that are found online, but those are not even approved by the FDA, let alone proven to treat premature ejaculation.

3. Herbal Medication

Herbal medicine has become very popular over the past years. Instead of taking chemicals to treat a physical issue that you have, you can take a natural remedy that does the same. If you decide to try out herbal mixtures to overcome premature ejaculation, then you can simply buy the herbs and try out home recipes from online. Remember to try any herbal medication in small doses and to contact a doctor if your issue persists or another issue crops up as a side effect.

4. Delaying Techniques

Delaying techniques are beneficial, especially if this issue is a recent one. You shouldn’t go for medication without first trying different delaying techniques, as well as seriously considering different exercises that you can do to help you reach your goal. One very common and easy method to practice with your partner is the stop-start technique. When practicing this technique, you start sexual relations with your partner, then when you feel that you are getting close to ejaculation, you completely stop until you calm down. After calming down, you can go back to the sexual relation. After doing this multiple times, you will be able to delay your ejaculation on your own.

Now you are aware of a variety of ways to stop ejaculating prematurely. There are different options available for people having this issue. You should never feel that your problem is one that does not have a solution. Sometimes, all you need to do is communicate with your partner about what you need and looking for the method that works for your case. If you have any doubts, then consult your doctor and find out what they recommend.
